I have visions of Forrest Gump every time I think about running. Seriously though, I was never a good runner. Neil talked me into the Peachtree Road Race a few years ago, and I am so glad he did. Training for that race and the other 5K really kept me motivated and active.
Fast forward a few years, I am not nearly as active or motivated to be so. Therefore, I have started the Couch to 5K plan. In just a couple weeks, I will pick the race to be my first "goal." Trick is, this time through I plan on choosing another one afterwards. And then another. And so on.
Hopefully, working in this extra cardio will help me truly shape up. Today's workout was easier than I thought it would be, but I won't come close to bragging until tomorrow comes. I'll keep updating the progress on the blog, and maybe sending the intention into cyberspace will help me follow through. Here's hoping.

GL! I looked over that workout plan, and I am pretty much doing the same thing. I can walk/jog 3 miles, but it takes me about 45 minutes at this stage. It's hard to keep consistent on a daily basis with life getting in the way. Keep it up!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I am looking forward to the updates.
